Ten.

One whole decade. That’s how old my baby is now. That’s how long I’ve been a mother. I was 19 and pregnant. I wish I could go back and tell the 19 year old me that it will all be ok in the end. The journey to “ok” definitely wasn’t an easy one, but we’re here now, safe and sound. Well, at least as “ok” as anyone ever is, I suppose. ;) I spent her entire pregnancy in a state of...

The First Haircut.

That’s right, Henry got his first hair cut. I put it off for as long as I could, but he was starting to look like a homeless person without access to regular hygiene. We weren’t sure how he would do sitting still for someone to trim his hair, so we wanted to go to a kiddie place. Unfortunately the only one was an hour away! Luckily it’s right by my parents’ house, so we stopped in to get Henry’s hair cut...

Henry at 17 Months Old.

Tomorrow I have the follow up appointment with internist (doctor) for my giardia. I’ve been feeling great the last couple of days, but this morning I woke up with that ominous burning crampy feeling in my lower bowel. It’s been exactly a week since I last had an episode of misery. Are you kidding me?? So far nothing bad has happened yet. I just don’t feel that great. Maybe it’s a coincidence? :( Anyway, we’ll see what the doctor thinks tomorrow....

Just Pictures: Henry at 6 months old.

My perfect six month old boy! He’s so close to crawling. He can pull up to stand! He can scoot himself backwards on a slick floor, and he’s almost able to go from belly to sitting back up. Mobility should be happening any day. I’m scared! Henry loves to hammer, and bang, and throw. He cries hysterically when you take things away, like the iPhone or cords. He loves strangers, he’s the most social charming boy ever! And he has one...

Henry’s Neurosurgeon Visit. 0

Henry’s Neurosurgeon Visit.

Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is the friendliest, easy to navigate hospital I have ever been to. We were quite impressed! They are so organized and helpful. There are even security guards standing by the elevators that only allow people with passes from the front desk to go up onto the floors. The entire hospital was incredibly clean too. Everything in it was child friendly! It was hard seeing so many sick kids there. My heart hurt. I saw multiple young children with...

10 Weeks of Chub.

Henry is ten weeks old now. He’s growing up so quickly! This week he’s really started following things with his eyes. He looks around towards sounds and voices, he follows me out of the room with his eyes.  He’s really starting to shed that whole newborn blob thing and come into his own as a chunky baby. Henry also discovered his hands this week. He was staring at his fist cross eyed and then tasting it some last week.  This week...

Bicycle, Bicycle: The Movie! 3

Bicycle, Bicycle: The Movie!

Look at this video I made of Rosie learning to ride her bike for the first time! I made it with my 5d Mark II instead of the iPhone.  It was fun, I’ll have to practice making more videos with it. Rosie thinks the part with Ada at the end is the best, she laughs so hard every time she watches it. (It should be HD quality and is on YouTube, but when I post it on the entry...

Right. 1

Right.

It’s…July! JULY. I might have a baby in the month of July. “Might” being the key word of course.  His official due date based on the dating ultrasound is the 1st of August.  Rosie and Ada were both born at 39 weeks, but watch this little guy fake me out and make me wait until 42 weeks or something.  That would continue the trend of this being the longest pregnancy ever. I’m hoping for July 27 or 28.  Rosie’s due date...
