Whirlwind.

My baby! Oh how I do love him so! Cannot get enough. Oh yeah, these other kids of mine are pretty fun too… “Why are you hanging upside down off the earth like a bat?” Rosie took this one of the Easter Bunny, and the ones with me in them too. Go home Easter Bunny, you’re drunk! The edge of my front porch. The girls like to do school work out there. I’m so busy I just don’t know how to...

Somethings Happy. 0

Somethings Happy.

Here are some happy pictures from yesterday and today. These were from a walk around the block yesterday afternoon. These are from the cemetery today. It’s beautiful this time of year, despite being a cemetery. My mom took the pictures with me in them. I laughed so hard when I saw Henry’s face here. “Dada! That’s my Mama. What are you doing to her!” These are just funny. This is what my family looks like at any given moment, basically. There are quite...

Update: Pictures & Cabin. 0

Update: Pictures & Cabin.

I’ve been having a rough few weeks. First I got terrible mastitis completely out of the blue. No idea why. 2/3rd’s of my left breast was hard as a rock, hot, and red one morning. There wasn’t any warning beforehand, no plugged duct or anything! I got an antibiotic, but it didn’t work. Finally I went to the ER over the weekend with a 102.5 (f) fever that wouldn’t go down, completely miserable. Body aches, nausea, the whole shebang. They gave...

Henry: Five Months. 0

Henry: Five Months.

We’re staying at my parents’ house again. (Hello fast internets! I adore you!) The cabin is not livable when it’s super cold out. Once it gets below about 15 degrees (f) then the draftiness and lack of insulation makes it too cold for my kids. The floor is the worst part. It’s so cold that the dogs’ water dish freezes within a minute of being put down on the kitchen floor. It’s so cold that with two pairs of socks and...

10 Weeks of Chub. 0

10 Weeks of Chub.

Henry is ten weeks old now. He’s growing up so quickly! This week he’s really started following things with his eyes. He looks around towards sounds and voices, he follows me out of the room with his eyes.  He’s really starting to shed that whole newborn blob thing and come into his own as a chunky baby. Henry also discovered his hands this week. He was staring at his fist cross eyed and then tasting it some last week.  This week...

A little about everything. (8 weeks) 1

A little about everything. (8 weeks)

Suddenly it’s fall here. Leaves falling, a crisp feel to the days even when the sun is warm, walnuts on the ground, chickens beginning to molt. Fall at the cabin has a magical feel to it.  It does not leave me disappointed.  I love walking into the woods each day.  There’s always something new–new smells, different bugs, flowers in bloom that weren’t there the day before. I’ve been so busy spending time outside, and surprisingly meeting new people.  New friends.  And...

Rosie’s Birthday! 0

Rosie’s Birthday!

I had my midwife appointment today.  Baby H is all happy and snug down in there. Rosie and Ada were so active in the womb–both of them kicked, flip flopped around, jabbed me, poked me, and even did something that felt like clawing me to pieces.  Baby H doesn’t do any of that.  He just wiggles and pokes his butt up. I imagine he thinks my womb is his man cave.  I’m certain he’s in there chilling out.  He stretches and...

39 weeks, 5 days: We have a winner.

Baby H wins the award of baby who has stayed inside the longest! Now that he’s won maybe he will come out.  ;) My due date is on Thursday.  I see no signs that he’s planning on coming out before then.  He seems quite content to chill out in the belly. With both Rosie and Ada I had tons more prodromal labor and I was walking around completely miserable, dilated, and ready to pop the baby out any second from 38...

Right. 1

Right.

It’s…July! JULY. I might have a baby in the month of July. “Might” being the key word of course.  His official due date based on the dating ultrasound is the 1st of August.  Rosie and Ada were both born at 39 weeks, but watch this little guy fake me out and make me wait until 42 weeks or something.  That would continue the trend of this being the longest pregnancy ever. I’m hoping for July 27 or 28.  Rosie’s due date...

Spring Photos. 2

Spring Photos.

Things with the house reorganizing are coming along every so slowly doing it mostly by myself. Yesterday I reorganized all the boxes in the POD outside and brought in 95% of the toys.  They’re semi-organized in our old bedroom, the new playroom/office.  I got completely worn out and sore after moving all those boxes.  I’ve been too tired to do any more today! I managed to take the girls outside earlier to check out signs of spring.  We also potted some...
