Miracle and The Crazy Christmas House.
I am beginning to realize several things.
1) God does actually hear my prayers.
2) God prefers to answer my prayers at the last minute. Why? I don’t know, but hosting for some reason is full of crazy non-coincidences.
I’ve been desperately praying for something to happen to make it so that I can pick up Igor in Louisville, 1.5 hours from my house, instead of the huge grueling road trip to Atlanta at 8 weeks pregnant.
I had given up because I could see no way this would work out. No one else from the host program was able to drive Igor back up to Kentucky with them. Tyler couldn’t take off of work. There were just no more options.
I can pick up Igor in Louisville at 9:18 PM.
Plans changed and the kids are flying into Louisville!!
My mom can stay home with the girls. I only have to drive 1.5 hours to Louisville.
I am so excited and relieved!
The kids are flying into Chicago and then the coordinator is picking up the kids being hosted around here and flying them all to Louisville. Much easier for everyone, including (especially) the kids! With the old flight plan the kids had a six hour layover between Dulles and Atlanta. That would have been miserable.
This is some sort of Christmas miracle. I saw absolutely no way it would work out to pick up Igor in Louisville, but randomly it did. I don’t think it was a coincidence either.
Exactly two weeks until Igor arrives. Now I can be 100% excited without the anxiety of the long trip to pick him up.
Here are some pictures from the other day:
The sun on this evening was really strange, very white and bright even though it was low in the sky. I didn’t have the lens hood on.
Yes, they are barefoot. Yes, it’s December. It was 70 degrees outside.
They spotted The Crazy Christmas House (as Ada has named it) and took off running ahead.
Ada was literally about to bust with excitement.
I have such a hard time getting Rosie to be in any pictures these days.
Goofball has something stuck to her new front tooth. I keep on sending her back in the bathroom to brush that tooth again, it collects plaque!
