39 weeks, 5 days: We have a winner.
Baby H wins the award of baby who has stayed inside the longest!
Now that he’s won maybe he will come out. ;)
My due date is on Thursday. I see no signs that he’s planning on coming out before then. He seems quite content to chill out in the belly.
With both Rosie and Ada I had tons more prodromal labor and I was walking around completely miserable, dilated, and ready to pop the baby out any second from 38 weeks to 39 weeks when they were both born.
Baby H on the other hand…not so much. He has dropped very low and I had one day of misery where I effaced quite a bit and dilated a few cm. Since then, nothing.
I’m feeling a lot better lately. As soon as he dropped I started feeling better! Not perfect–still annoying aches and pains. I still have a baby crammed in my pelvis. But I no longer feel like I could die any second like I have for most of the pregnancy.
For now I just wait patiently…
I think the hard part is not knowing when he will choose to be born. Tonight? Tomorrow? Next week? The week after that?
(If we get to “the week after that” I will be getting mighty impatient!)
The limbo of not knowing and just waiting is difficult for me.
I’m anxious to have him safe in my arms on the outside! I want to see what color hair he has, and if we think his eyes will stay blue like the girls or if they’ll be hazel like Tyler’s. I want to find out what sort of personality he has. I want to pat his poking little bum on the outside instead of through my belly. He pokes it up all the time!
Rosie took these pictures of me yesterday. I’m teaching her how to use my camera. She loves it!
Since he dropped my belly is so much smaller! It seems like there’s a huge space between my boobs and my belly, where before they were nearly touching.
Quick DIY maternity mini session!
(Ada loves to choose her head bands to match colors in her clothing!)
I’m trying to stay distracted while waiting for Baby H to decide when he wants to make his appearance.
Luckily these other little people are very distracting!
I have no idea what they were doing.
We walk on our “street” and find different flowers, bugs, and creatures every day.
(My house is to the right in this picture. The mailboxes and the trash pick up are all the way up that hill ahead.)
This cracks me up. No clue.
This is my nearest neighbor’s house.
Then we sit in the rocking chairs on our front porch and hang out and wait for Baby H. Forever!
Tomorrow I’m going to either post about Baby H’s birthday (doubtful!) or post the pictures from Rosie’s birthday last week.
