Who knew getting new flooring could be so stressful? I guess I didn’t realize they have to remove every little thing from the kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom. I also didn’t realize that tile took so long to set before you could walk on it.
So we had no kitchen for 24 hours and no bathroom all day today. That was fun.
Now it’s finished and looking GREAT. Thank goodness it’s over and done with and I can live in my house again.
It looks like a bomb went off in here. Random displaced things everywhere, and a thin coating of dust on every single surface. The workers tracked in lots of mud and snow while they were working, so that’s all over my floors. The tile can’t be mopped for at least 24 more hours so that the grout can fully dry.
Dirty floors make me CRAZY! I can’t stand it! The second the workers left the house I vacuumed everywhere and pretended I was mopping.
Ada accidentally ate a chunk of dry wall while I was vacuuming. Whoops. When I tried to get it out of her mouth it just turned to liquid and she swallowed. I’m trying not to think of what she ingested, it was 60 year old drywall. Oh well, can’t take it back now.
Let’s start with yesterday.
Experimentation with softbox for lighting…success?
Manuel…lit by softbox and speedlight bounced off of the wall behind me.
Forgot to post 9/365…cell phone picture, but cute moment.
Check out my living room. It’s an appliance party! 10/365
My baby, trying to rip Rosie’s posters from the wall.
(Note: Painting is next on my home improvement dream list.)
Aren’t my walls SCARY? They do not wash off, yes I have tried everything including those stupid Magic Erasers that do not work.
Anyone want to donate to the Repaint Amy’s House Fund? Donations are tax deductible.
Rintoo, my 21 pound kitty.
Check out my old floors, also scary scary. Tomorrow I’ll post a picture of the new tile, it’s lovely and not scary.
One day I need to replace this cabinet/sink/vanity thingy too. It’s not so pretty. That will cost several hundred dollars though.
I no longer have this nasty floor. I am so thrilled that I never have to pee while staring at that nasty spot again.
AAAAH! Good riddance.
Frozen blueberries are a current favorite food for both girls
Back up…meant to post this a few days ago.
Old Man Winter is no match for my Feathered Ladies!
