Miss Ada Pants is always so busy. Rosie is too. I have no down time lately!
Ok so I have to say I LOVE my expedit shelving.
My everything is so organized. My new couches are so wonderful, ten thousand times better than that giant one that got stuck in the doorway.
Did I ever show you all the new leather couches we got? We actually got two love seats, one for the living room and one for the back room where the TV is.
My house feels like a totally new house, almost. I just need to do something about my cramped cluttered bedroom (new dressers are needed!) and about Rosie’s toy filled room.
The new paint makes a world of difference. It’s much cleaner seeming, no disgusting walls anymore!
We still have gross walls in the bedrooms, but we’ll repaint those eventually.
My gray/blue paint colors are so calming and relaxing, and the bright green kitchen is energizing and refreshing. I wonder what color we should paint the bedroom.
Before I get too behind, I want to post pictures from Easter.
The day before Easter we went to a failed Easter egg hunt. The weather has been so rainy that the church had to move the easter egg hunt inside, only they planned it badly.
They put the eggs in a long hall, but didn’t say so. They told everyone to walk along the hall to the egg hunt. Everyone assumed we were walking to another room where they’d put the eggs.
So all of the kids at the beginning of the 100 people picked up the eggs and had overflowing baskets. The kids from the middle of the line on back got nothing. We were in the back.
We got to the end of this long hall and there was just…nothing. We never even saw a single egg. Rosie was incredibly disappointed.
Why would they set it up so poorly? I have no idea what they were thinking.
The best part is, when we were filling out the welcome card as we walked into the church building a dad asked one of the women at the welcome table if they were having the egg hunt in the sanctuary. After the dad walked away the woman turned to the other lady at the table and rolled her eyes and mocked the dad asking then said, “Have it in the sanctuary? As if!”
Uh right? This is why we never attended any church on a regular basis. I can’t stand most Southern church going ladies. I actually think they are bad role models for my children.
Here are the girls waiting for the failed egg hunt to start:
See how excited Rosie was?
Afterward we had Ada’s birthday party. I still have to edit the photos from that.
Then that night the Easter Bunny came!
The Easter Bunny had a gift card he needed to use at a bookstore that was being sold at auction, so Easter Bunny brought way more than normal.
Rosie’s basket is the yellow one on the left, Ada’s is on the right.
Rosie loved the Cozy Cottage so much. She has played with it for HOURS.
Ada got cheerios and raisins inside of her eggs. This thrilled her greatly.
We went to mass afterward at the Catholic church on the corner of our neighborhood. I like going there because they have a sound proof room so I can actually listen to the service while Ada does whatever she wants.
After mass we went to my parents’ house for Easter Dinner.
Ada partook of the food stuffs heartily. My baby loves to eat. A lot.
I couldn’t resist taking a few more pictures outside.
(I was having a crazy hair day, it got wet in the pouring rain earlier.)
(Lo! I am part giraffe.)
That concludes Easter 2011.
