A billion Instagrams from the past few days.
Ada is asleep in bed for a minute. Thank goodness! I should be cleaning, but…I really don’t feel like it. I have a killer sinus headache in my cheeks.
Part of Ada’s issues are from teething. She’s getting all four eye teeth at once, I know that hurts. I can’t give her Advil every second of every day, and she’s already wearing an amber teething necklace. Chewing on cold things just pisses her off.
This too shall pass, I know.
In the mean time we are still enjoying life. Ada loves bugs!
Last night when she couldn’t sleep we spent two hours watching bugs crawling on our front and back storm doors as they were attracted to the porch light in the dark.
It was like going to the aquarium or the zoo. Ada was flipping out, trying to pick up the bugs and running her fingers up and down the glass screaming, “Flutter fly! Bug! Hold you!” “See that, Momma?” She was giggling like crazy.
I planted giant Zinnias outside by the front porch and they are in full bloom right now.
They are my favorite flower. I plant them every year!
We’ve been loving the butterflies they attract. Really big beautiful butterflies, tiny butterflies, moths of all kinds…they have provided hours, seriously HOURS of entertainment for the girls.
This one has a very impressive polka dotted body. It’s been coming back for several days now and Rosie has named it. It’s very shy compared to some some of the other large butterflies. Oddly, it appears at the same time every afternoon.
There are lots of these guys too…
They are huge, like little birds! They fly right up in your face and flutter all over your hair resulting in a lot of giggles from Rosie and Ada.
Here are some other iPhone photos from recently…
Ada’s finger wound is healing fast! She keeps pulling the band aid off and crying, “Oh no! Boo boo, Momma. Band aid! Oh no! Ow ow ow!”
My poor baby. :(
More proof that Tyler and Rosie are clones.
Upside down clone factor!
I think school this year will go well, once I find my groove…or more accurately once Ada’s four eye teeth finally emerge.
Rosie is doing our morning board, which I made with my trusty WalFart laminator and some velcro.
And Miquon Math, which is just challenging enough.
And Ada this morning…Oh, Ada. She was tired and her teeth hurt and her finger hurt.
I found her like this. She put on her war paint then snuggled up.
I’ve titled it: Warrior Baby, Wilting.
Despite the way this picture appears, she is not a neglected child being raised by a pack of wild dogs.
But…she does eat markers and hair clips, and sometimes she tries to drink from the dogs’ water dish when she thinks we’re not looking.
Here’s one of Ada looking normal. Too bad Rosie has her eyes closed. That’s my sister on the left.
One of the wild dogs raising Ada:
So, Dumbledore the Rooster turned out to be a girl…She needs a new name.
Why does Rosie always look like she’s in pain every time I ask her to smile? Geeze!
Lastly, the girls have been enjoying playing in the pool on the back porch every day.
We’ve taken a break for the past couple of days so Ada’s finger can heal up. They can’t wait to resume splashing me.
(Ada and her fake “cheese face” lol)
Sneaky ducks, always trying to have a swim in the pool and then poo all over it, all while looking so sweet and innocent!!
