A Sunset Wedding.
Tonight I photographed another wedding.
I’m really enjoying these, I wish I had more booked. I just have one more coming up, next weekend, and I’m only assisting another photographer.
I need to figure out how to advertise properly or something. There’s a lot of competition, and I’m still learning so…yeah.
This wedding was outside right at sunset. The light was fading fast, it was almost too dark…but not quite!
The sun was a huge blazing orange ball rapidly sinking below the horizon. Absolutely gorgeous.
They had tikki torches with huge flames set up all along the isle. Very pretty, but as I was sneaking photos during the ceremony it occurred to me that the cool wind could blow my super long hair into a flicking tongue of flame at any second. That would not be good! Holy crap.
Challenge #34095834 of being a photographer: Do not catch yourself on fire.
Possibly the best thing about photographing weddings, besides eating the cake, is the challenge of capturing emotions at the precise second they occur. That’s the fun part!
And this one, “You may now kiss the bride.”
Oh and this adorable/handsome boy must make an appearance on my blog entry. He did not want his picture taken so his dad told him that grandma wouldn’t buy him a birthday present unless he smiled.
He sure smiled a lot after that.
