Leading up to Halloween… (Photos)
One of the last warm days of the fall, last week:
My favorite old hen. She lost her toes to frost bite while I was pregnant with Ada.
My 50mm 1.4 lens is officially broken. Ada knocked it out of my bag when I turned my back for a second and now the auto focus is all fuzzy.
I’m going to send it off for repair one day, when I have the money.
See how it looks? It doesn’t focus reliably in the right spot. And check out Ada’s post-pig tail hair…hahahaha!
Pumpkin carving this weekend:
I tried to get a picture of them together.
Check out the results…almost better than a perfect picture of them both smiling, I think.
Prepare yourself for this one. Ada’s face. Holy crap!
Tyler and I laughed so hard when we saw the picture.
Then we cut them open!
The pumpkins, not the girls.
Some surprising reactions this year.
Ada, who loves to get as dirty as possible, was scared of the contents.
Rosie, who doesn’t even like to get her hands wet, reached in and pulled out the guts.
Who would’ve thunk?
I can’t believe she’s touching this and smiling.
Apparently chihuhua’s like to eat pumpkin…
Ada was afraid of the pumpkin guts!
Rosie convinced her to touch it.
Then she liked it!
Here are the three we carved. We still have two more to do today!
