Oh my gosh we are just the House of Sicky Sick Misery and Woe right now!
My stupid sinus infection is trying to murder me by causing chills, fever, and my head is throbbing. I’m on my third round of antibiotics. My usual grape fruit seed extract and neti pot did NOTHING. I’ve never had them not work before. Usually that gets rid of sinus infections straight away before I even get really feverish and miserable. What kind of nasty bacteria is living in my face?? The drainage is so horrific–thick and bitter, and gagging. I kind of just want to crawl out of my skin and go die somewhere.
Tyler had to one up me, as usual, by getting pneumonia and laying on the couch hallucinating and sweating for days on end.
That means he is useless to help me with the house or the girls, so I am not only miserable but doing everything completely by myself AND taking care of him. How awesome is that?
Wait, he is able to function enough to do one thing…
That would be playing a new video game with his sound canceling headphones on in the dark on the couch while bundled in blankets.
If only that were my life. If only. I would have recovered from this sinus infection in a week instead of 3-4 weeks of misery and exhaustion.
This is all fall out from the effing hand, foot, and mouth disease we had. After the sores it turns into a cold that lingers and lingers. Apparently it lingers long enough to cause one of the worst sinus infections I’ve ever had and pneumonia.
I am really just done being sick now. We’ve been sick for the entire month of November. THE ENTIRE MONTH.
*grumble*
I had to take both girls with me while I went to the doctor the other day. Ada insisted on wearing her hood up.
This a portrait Rosie did. Rosie says she is on the right and Ada is on the left. HAH!
An airplane flying over a tiny house below.
A bird sitting on a sand castle almost being eaten by a crab.
Rosie flying a balloon in the breeze outside.
A portrait of me in the kitchen. (Those are freckles on my arms!)
My favorite: A portrait of our family!
And some Ada art. She says it’s, “Turtles and monster, rawr!!”
Last night Ada couldn’t sleep. She didn’t nap or anything yesterday, she just wouldn’t go to sleep!
This is all she wanted to do, over and over, until 1 in the morning.
Then she got a tiny drop of water on her shirt and just had to remove it. I didn’t realize it had water on it until she told me after taking it off.
I was kind of frustrated because it was already 1 in the morning…
