Gingerbread House Decorating!
I never got a chance to post pictures of the kids decorating their gingerbread house a week or so ago.
That’s Ada’s special stuffed animal, Birdy.
Henry’s hair constantly looks like this in the back. When you get it wet it curls, but it never stays even with gel.
I took three pictures in a row, and I realized later in one picture Ada is licking the gingerbread house!
This was before he learned to break out of baby jail. It only lasted a week. :( If it’s not closed in a circle he will push it open. If it’s closed in a circle he will just lift it up and crawl under.
The problem is our house is so big and he just runs off and gets into everything, way worse than the girls. He’s very smart and analytical so he will puzzle through every situation. He’s fast too!
Baby containment fail.
It wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t put everything in his mouth, climb to the tippy top of every peak he can locate, and smash every object he can. He’s like a tiny caveman. Thank God he hasn’t discovered how to make fire yet.
Boys are weird.
I’m really frustrated with Rosie right now. She begged for contacts for the past two years and the eye doctor told her she could get them when she turned eight. So when she turned eight we went to the eye doctor and she got contacts. She wore them so proudly for a few weeks. It was the trial pair. At one point she ripped a contact, so she put her glasses back on while we waited for the contacts to come in.
Apparently during that time she decided she suddenly hates contacts. Conveniently after we spent more than $100 on a big supply of them.
So she’s refusing to wear them and I am not happy. It’s not like she actually hated the contacts when she was wearing them. We specifically waited until she had tried them for a few weeks and confirmed she loved them before ordering a bunch. ARGH!!!
This happened with the leftover gingerbread house icing.
