Best Friends Forever.
Here are a few pictures from my phone from recently:
Sunny day mud pie!
Toes in the mud. Kept taking off his boots and socks until I gave up.
The boy feels an unavoidable urge to reach all of the electronics and push all of their buttons, no matter what.
His sisters did this.
They also did this to him.
The first snow of the winter on Saturday morning, which has already melted. This is the view from my kitchen window. My chickens live in the red barn.
View from my upstairs bathroom window.
An average morning at our house.
The view out of the window on my stairs. Wintry.
Sign on Rosie’s bunk bed.
Today our homeschool co-op was cancelled due to icy roads. We had friends from out of town stop by for a visit this afternoon! Rosie and Ada’s best friends ever. EVER. Cade and Eli! (Also not pictured because they wouldn’t hold still: Henry and their little sister Hazel.)
Rosie and Cade have known each other since they were babies. Their birthdays are only a few weeks apart. His mom and I met online in 2006. We discovered we lived near each other, three hours away, and met up. It all went downhill from there. :)
(Rosie is very tall for her age.)
Somehow she and Cade have this special timeless love for each other. Since we live three hours away from each other they only get together every few months, but they never forget each other.
Then Eli and Ada came along a few years later and developed the exact same special love.
This is the only picture I got of Henry and Hazel because they aren’t exactly at a cooperative age for group pictures. I saved it anyway, for memory’s sake.
