Lauren’s 4th Birthday.
I am mighty jealous of all the snow I keep seeing on Facebook and on the news. We’ve gotten basically nothing. We did get a couple of inches that quickly melted with the sun a week or so ago. Then yesterday they changed our forecasted snowstorm to rain.
We got tons of ugly cold rain.
There’s not a single flake in the forecast coming up. We’ve been denied any fun snowfall for this winter it seems. My kids are disappointed.
On Saturday we drove a couple hours to eastern Kentucky for Lauren’s fourth birthday party. (Lauren is my brother-in-law’s daughter.) My girls absolutely love Lauren. They’ve been super excited about her party for weeks now.
Smile sweetly, I said.
Ada couldn’t eat the cake because it was made with milk. She cried. :( Before we came I let her pick whatever she wanted from the store and she’d chosen an apple pie from the donut section. For some reason those are dairy free.
It’s not fair that she can’t enjoy the cake like every other little girl. She’s actually going back to the allergist on Thursday for more testing because her belly is hurting every day, all day and night. I hope she’s not allergic to wheat now. We’d really be screwed! She eats so little as it is. I have no idea what could be making her feel bad all the time.
Henry (with my father-in-law in the picture below) eats all the things. Everything he can. Henry and Rosie have no food allergies at all. Rosie had allergy testing awhile ago and only had asthma caused by grass. Poor Ada is just unlucky. She gets that from me.
That red spot on Henry’s chin is dry skin. I keep lotioning it up and it comes and goes. He’s starting to teeth again, those pesky two year molars are the only teeth he’s got left to go! It looks a lot redder than it actually is here because of the reflection from the red balloon.
Ada. Oh, Ada. She is always like this.
Henry was a big, big fan of the bounce houses and slides. The girls loved them too!
I often wonder what Ada will be like as an adult.
Rosie, of course, is always sweet.
The big slide was the most fun!
Henry joined in the fun!
Henry totally does not care when he gets smashed by other children or falls on his face. He just plows on through and keeps going like a toddler tank.
I have a video of them all sliding together too, but I haven’t uploaded it yet.
