May the fourth be with you.
Today we gave away all of our chickens, and it was sad.
I’ve had chickens for years. It will be so strange to not have them any longer, to not begin and end each day with opening and closing their door, to not save scraps for them. I used to spend so much time watching them, just relaxing.
The girls cried most of the morning too.
While we were loading up the chickens in my friend’s car Rosie and Ada took my friend’s daughter inside to see our guinea pigs.
They found a surprise.
A perfectly furry, bright eyed baby guinea pig!!
They are born perfect. Miniature versions of adult piggies, complete with teeny tiny teeth and everything.
It’s a boy!
May the fourth be with you. Happy Star Wars Day!
Meet baby Luke!
He zooms around the cage squeaking. He’s super soft and puppy-like. Holy cute!
Luke was the perfect distraction from saying goodbye to the chickens. Ada and Rosie have both had chickens their entire lives. This move is so hard.
Tyler started his new job today and I think he really likes it. So there’s that.
