And Now For Something Entirely Adorable:
First, apple orchard this weekend!
Second, baby guinea pigs! I let them have another litter to replace the one that Igor murdered. I think it’s healing for the girls to have something new and sweet.
Shortly after birth:
One day old:
Two, almost three, days old:
Group shot! Four total…FOUR! I think all are boys.
From left to right their names are King Xerxes, Lucky the Runt, Uncle Mordecai, and Prince Precious.
On the right there is Ada’s guinea pig Prince Precious. See his expression? So fitting that he’s Ada’s piggy.
Disclaimer: No piglets were harmed in the following images.
These pictures are from a homeschool program at a local park:
Ada, Miss Sassy Pants, rolled her eyes and refused to look for any pictures when we were there. As if she is embarrassed of me or something. Humph. Five going on fifteen, I swear.
I’ve been thinking about Igor and Max constantly lately.
It’s hard because not many people understand. I love the kids we have hosted. I love them deeply. My whole family does. I have a really, really good feeling about Max. I hope this boy is finally the one we get to keep. I hate that money stands in the way of everything.
But today I woke up with a persistent thought in my head.
Do not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Love never fails.
Amen to that, I suppose.
