Please See These Kids!
Love First Ministries is the organization that we host Igor with. Here is their website, and their Facebook page.
They still have a handful of children waiting to be chosen for winter hosting this year!
The following children are at Igor’s orphanage. I have known them for several years now, on social media, at the airport, on Skype, and through other families who have adopted from the orphanage.
This is K. She will be aging out this year. She has been hosted before, she speaks English, and she’s an overall great teenage girl. When she ages out it’s very likely she will be forced into prostitution or some other equally horrible fate in their poverty stricken village.
This is R. She is downright awesome. A family hosted her this past summer and they wanted to adopt her, but unfortunately they decided against it when they learned she has two younger siblings. (I have pictures of her siblings and they are adorable, by the way.) R has only been in the orphanage for two years, but she is already on the international adoption registry along with her siblings. This girl needs a family!! I can’t stand the thought of her being left behind this Christmas. If someone miraculously donated the money we would host her along with Igor. Completely serious. They are friends.
This is S. He will age out this year in May and he will be all on his own. S has no one that supports him or cares about him. Other families that have been to the orphanage to complete adoptions say he’s a nice boy. Very humble. Last winter when a family was there adopting S was wearing shoes that were falling apart with holes in them. The director wouldn’t give him any money for new shoes. S was so humble he wouldn’t ask for money from the family there adopting, even though they asked what he needed. S could really use a family who would host him, bond with him, stay in contact with him, sponsor him to be sure he has shoes and food, and to encourage him to go to trade school or community college instead of falling into a life of crime. Just knowing he is loved, even from afar, can change his life.
This is V. V is another awesome teenage boy at Igor’s orphanage who will be aging out this coming year. He is in the same boat as S. He needs someone who will connect with him and continue to care about him, and encourage him.
These last few adorable kiddos are from different orphanages, and I don’t know much about them other than the fact that they are also in need of love and a host family.
So here’s the deal:
It costs $2,600 to host with this program. That cost goes to cover only the documents, chaperone, plane tickets, and necessary travel costs.
Love First Ministries is offering a $1,000 scholarship to the first family who chooses a child from this list. As of tonight that scholarship is still waiting to be claimed. That would make your host fees only $1,600.
The kids are flying in to the Atlanta airport on December 15th and flying out from Atlanta on January 16th.
Some are available for adoption, some are not.
MB, the lady who started Love First Ministries, has already gotten these kids their documents to be able to come because she couldn’t stand to leave them behind. Now they just need families to step up.
If you can’t host them, then you can make a tax deductible donation for a scholarship so someone else can host them. If you can’t afford to donate, then you can share their pictures. Hopefully their families will find them! There are only a few days left before we just have to give up and say they can’t come.
