Hey Mama! Print Schoolhouse Planner: A Review!
As most of us have noticed, in a world of digital technology print planners have suddenly become a hot and trendy thing in the past couple of years. There are all kinds of fun and popular planners out there lately! For those of us who homeschool a planner is a must-have item, trendy or not.
Honestly, I know I’ve said this before, but I suck at planning. I’m a fly by the seat of your pants type of girl. However I’ve noticed when I don’t directly plan out our school work (or at least make lists of what we subjects the kids want to focus on in our more lax school weeks) then…it doesn’t happen.
I’ve tried using various online calendars and failed. Mainly because it takes me so much time to input info into the calendar online vs. just writing it down. Also…I get online to enter things into the calendar or check to see what I have planned and guess what happens? Yeah, I notice my emails and Facebook notifications. It all goes downhill from there.
So let’s discuss what’s different and special about the Hey Mama! Print Schoolhouse Planner.
The planner includes weekly calendar pages, of course. There are also other things like inspirational quotes, curriculum planning sheets, goal lists, info like how to create a transcript, important facts such as state capitals, and also fun random facts about various things.
The front pages of the planner have yearly calendars at a glance for 2016, 2017, and 2018.
The weekly planning pages have enough space to plan for more than one child. Woohoo! It’s big family friendly!
There are five columns across the top, which means you can label one column per week for each child.
There are seven rows, giving you space to write in seven subjects then using each child’s column you can write in their assignments for that week for every subject. Easy, easy, easy!
The whole planner is 196 pages and nicely spiral bound. It’s slightly larger than a standard notebook paper size at 9×11 and half an inch thick.
Inside the planner the pages are fairly plain. There are no bright colors. It’s not cluttered either, it’s very spacious. I like this! Because you know what? Let me give you a tip:
Go to Etsy and search for planner stickers. There are 187,143 results. The sheets of custom stickers are almost all only $3-10 dollars per set. Go nuts decorating this planner exactly how you like it!!
Incase you haven’t guessed, I’m a big fan of all things customizable. :)
