Vlad at the Zoo!
Now that I have a few moments I need to go back and catch up on sharing the pictures and videos from June!
We took Vlad to the zoo a couple weeks ago. He loved it. I don’t think he’d ever been before.
It was in the 90’s outside and very humid, so if you’re wondering why we’re all red and sweaty, and why Ada dumped water on her hair…yeah.
Feeding the giraffes is always the best part, in my opinion at least. ;)
(The little boy in the cockpit with the white blond hair isn’t ours…)
“Whoa, lions, so many lions Mom!”
The lion cubs have grown up! You can get really close to them up against the glass, which is so fascinating. They have a “crashed” airplane that kids can go inside of and pretend to fly, then if you look out the window all of the lions are napping on the wing of the plane.
Africa is my favorite part of the Columbus Zoo.
Ada’s favorite part of the zoo? PENGUINS!
I also absolutely love the aquarium part of the zoo. Vlad was fascinated too. My kids were less excited since we’ve been so many times…
Rosie would like us all to know that at almost ten years old (!!) she is too hot, sweaty, and bored of the zoo. She would rather be playing Minecraft with her friends, or Animal Jam, or writing in her notebook.
I personally feel that this manatee is amazing and I could watch her eat all day long.
Pretty sure Vlad could have sat there for hours watching. (That’s saying something because the kid doesn’t sit still very often!)
Vlad also loved riding in the stroller. (It was so hot, did I mention that? Hahaha, look at their faces!)
Just in the past few months they’ve apparently added these spitting whales. Cool!
I feel like Ada looks so different than my other two kids. Sometimes when I look at her from the right angle it seems like her face shape displays the tiny bit of Native American ancestry that I have. Maybe I’m imagining it, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but she just is so different than Rosie and Henry.
These were cute!
Here’s a 10 minute video of our zoo trip with Vlad…
