A Visit From Splinter.

For f*cks sake I am never touching anything with milk ever again. I am so miserable. It takes forever to get out of my system. WHY! The charcoal does help the immediate gas bubbles and cramps, but I still feel awful. I’ve still pooped 80234 times in the past two days. I’m relieved to know it’s milk though. I mean it’s obvious, the same thing happens each time I stupidly try to eat it. Two hours after eating it I feel...

White Stuff.

It really snowed! Leave it to Ada to lock us out of the house when it’s 10 degrees outside with a foot of snow on the ground. We were going to go out and play for just a few minutes. Our old Victorian door knob has this strange lock where you push a button on the door jamb area of the door to turn the lock on. It stays locked and you can open the door from the inside, but once...

Possums, Co-op, and Photos. 0

Possums, Co-op, and Photos.

I need some kind of possum repellant spray. These ugly beasts (or Tools of Satan as we jokingly call them) are terrorizing my backyard!  They have ripped the heads off of a few hens over the past few years, and they love to steal eggs.  This past summer they ate an entire nest of duck eggs that were close to hatching.  Poor Mama Duck was panting and paralyzed with fear in the corner next to her nest under the chicken coop....

Hound Beast, Win or Fail?

Oh, Hank… I cleaned out the fridge last night and didn’t get a chance to take it out yet. He ate half a big container of expired yogurt, a box (4 sticks) of expired butter (wtf I’ve never had butter expire before…had a really short date), he also ate half a bowl of really old Panera broccoli and cheddar soup, half a thing of old roast beef deli meat, some wilted spinach, a few bananas, and who knows what else. Bonus: Most...

Pooptastic.

Rosie woke me up this morning by screaming, "Momma there’s poop EVERYWHERE!  I can’t play with my toys!  WAKE UP!" Oh, why me? Why? Hank, our coon hound beast, always whines when we put him in his crate at night.  He does this awful bark yelp noise.  It goes on for as long as 3 hours every night before he stops.  The other two dogs just sleep on the floor by our bed, but Hank has to go in his crate.  I decided to...

The Great Dane found his owner!  He belongs to a college student who went on vacation, the student had the money to go to vacation thanks to his new credit card, he was looking for the top credit cards by The Motley Fool.  A friend was supposed to be caring for him.  Bet she’s pretty pissed at that friend.  He also apparently had on a collar and tags, but they are no where to be found.  She didn’t even realize he...

Whoa, Big Buddy. 4

Whoa, Big Buddy.

My new lens came today!  So exciting.  I can’t wait until I can test it on the girls outside.  It’s so large, but fast and sharp.  Love it. I tested it on the chickens outside in the sun. Isn’t my rooster hilarious looking?  He crows like a dying sheep. It works pretty good in low light indoors as well. HAHAHAHHA. New lens aside, the real story of the day is today’s 365 photo. Buddy. 3/365…a quick snapshot. (Note: Ada and Spongebob are making the...

He loves her more than me. 3

He loves her more than me.

My dog Hank is something special. He’s an American Foxhound.  We got him from the shelter when Rosie was a baby.  He was biding his time, just about out of days until…you know.  The shelter warned us not to adopt him because he was a handful. Apparently he escaped one day and ran out of the automatic doors, down a busy four lane road, and no one could catch him.  They gave up.  A few hours later he came right back...

Christmas Season! 0

Christmas Season!

We set up our Christmas tree yesterday.  Rosie was bouncing off the walls with excitement.  Ada was in awe. So far Ada hasn’t tried to harm the tree.  We put the non-breakable ornaments towards the bottom just in case.  My real concern is that she’ll try to use a tree branch to pull to a stand and the whole tree will fall over.  Let’s hope that doesn’t happen!  It’s a small tree, so I’m sure the only real damage would be...
