Beach, Part Two.

Check this out! This is a fossilized sea urchin. It’s so old that it lived at the same time as the dinosaurs! I know this because I posted it on a fossil hunter forum. They told me its scientific name and that it lived in the late mesozoic era. (I think that’s what they said, too lazy to look back at the moment.) Rosie found it in the ocean because she tripped and fell in a wave, then it hit her...

Beach!

Last week was spent at the beach. It was good. We went to Holden Beach, NC. It’s about an hour from the popular and commercial Myrtle Beach area. Holden Beach is actually an island. It’s quiet and sleepy. When we arrived on Labor Day weekend there were a few small crowds, but as the week started everyone left and there was hardly another person around. The bridal shower was in the house where we were staying.  A very big house!  It had six bedrooms and six full bathrooms on two floors. (I already posted some of these, but I don’t know which.  I finally finished editing all of them.) Ada showing...

Holden Beach Day 3: Swimsuits on the Beach!

Three airports later we have finally returned home. After being in that awesome beach house our home seems even smaller than I remembered.  Trying not to dwell on it, but man…I had happily forgotten that I lived in The Shoe Box. Flying was extremely exhausting.  Next year if we are able to go to their yearly Holden Beach trip hopefully Tyler will be able to take more days off of work.  We can drive five hours to Spartenburg, NC.  Spend the...
