Happy Easter! 0

Happy Easter!

I’ve been so busy the past couple of days.  We repainted half of our house inside, reorganized everything, and had Ada’s birthday party last night.  This morning we went to mass for Easter at the Catholic church around the corner.  Here are a couple of pictures.  Much more later, once I have time!

Ada has slept this entire day!  I don’t know what to think.  Maybe she’s fighting off the cold I have? She wakes up for 15 minutes to pee on the potty, then she starts crying and immediately falls back asleep.  She only wants to be in my arms in bed nursing, so I’ve spent the entire day holding her in bed. Considering I feel like crap, I’m not going to complain.  This cold seems to have settled in my sinuses.  I hope the neti pot...

New Year’s resolutions are kind of funny.  It seems like everyone loves to make a list of them, but they’re forgotten by February. Since it’s a new year, and we’re turning over a new leaf, I would like to write down some goals…and unlike a list of resolutions, I fully intend to achieve these goals!  In fact I’ve already started most of them. I’d like to complete the 365 project–you know, one photo a day for a year?  Certainly I can do that.  They...

Christmas Day. 1

Christmas Day.

Christmas morning at home…Rosie hoped Santa would bring her a doctor kit and he did! Christmas was fun this year.  Rosie was incredibly excited and Ada frantically tried to eat wrapping paper and tape and tags. Then we went to my parents’ house for lunch… We had a great Christmas. It was Ada’s first Christmas, and it was a white Christmas. My house is a disaster and we are all exhausted!

Christmas Eve. 0

Christmas Eve.

Christmas Eve at my in-laws’ house… And then he threw up, right in the seat belt hole in the bottom of the seat…apparently he’d snacked on cat food prior to getting in the car. (Tyler’s brother.)

Christmas Season! 0

Christmas Season!

We set up our Christmas tree yesterday.  Rosie was bouncing off the walls with excitement.  Ada was in awe. So far Ada hasn’t tried to harm the tree.  We put the non-breakable ornaments towards the bottom just in case.  My real concern is that she’ll try to use a tree branch to pull to a stand and the whole tree will fall over.  Let’s hope that doesn’t happen!  It’s a small tree, so I’m sure the only real damage would be...

Frosty Treasures. 0

Frosty Treasures.

The weather man says it will snow tonight. So far, it’s raining. Nasty, cold, drizzling rain. Rosie is beside herself with excitement over snow coming. She desperately wants to make a snow angel and a snowman. I hope it actually does snow overnight, enough to for her to make a snowman for the first time! It seems like snow here is hit or miss. We either get a lot of snow or none at all. Rosie is also extremely excited about...
