Psst…!

Alright, so still loving Plexus. Sugar cravings I’ve had are GONE. I’m talking I don’t even want/need to eat cookies. I could take them or leave them. Belly is feeling pretty good. Still not 100% normal, but it’s different in a good way! I’ve had no bloating at all until PMS the past day or so. So awesome. Anyone who has been watching and waiting to see if it’s something worth trying: IT IS! And the 15% off code ends on...

The ER & an Answer

All week last week I had intensifying pain in my right lower abdomen along with some seriously awful flare ups of IBS. On Thursday I reached a breaking point with the pain. I don’t have a doctor here because every single office I have called (and believe me I have called a ton) tell me they aren’t taking new patients, or the soonest new patient appointments they have are in late winter or spring 2016. I think one of the main...

Tinidazole, Day 2.

Tinidazole is nasty. What is in that medication?! The bitter taste in my mouth was horrible yesterday. It was making me feel really nauseated last night, just because there was no escape from the taste. Even breathing made me taste it. Ew, ew, ew! It’s lessened today, but still there somewhat. Today it’s at least more manageable. Yesterday I couldn’t even eat because all I tasted was bitter metallic grossness. Right at the 24 hour mark Henry started nursing again. Thank...

The Verdict.

Yesterday was my doctor appointment. This new doctor is an internist, but he does general practice medicine. I chose him particularly hoping he would be thorough since he isn’t just a regular old general practitioner. My mother in law was going to watch the kids for me during the appointment, but she was sick. That meant I had to take the kids with me. So fun, that was. The girls were ok, but Henry was…not. He just wanted to run everywhere...

I’m certain now.

Ok, one more entry with microscopic poop pictures ahead. Run for the hills if you don’t think this is super fascinating. (And also a bit horrifying that these creatures are INSIDE OF ME.) Check this out. Here is a picture of giardia under a low power microscope, snagged the picture from Google images. The giardia are tear drop shaped. Here, in the white circle, is a picture from my own dear intestines. (Full size) There’s no mistaking that, is there? I...

Took a Peek.

Today Rosie has the cold, and Henry is grumpy, Ada is grumpy, and I can’t stop pooping. Fun times! I made a doctor appointment for 10:15 Monday morning. I can’t wait to talk to him. Unfortunately I still have to poop my way through the weekend before we get to Monday. Ugh. I was laying in bed with Henry when I had a sudden thought. What if I looked at my own poop under the microscope? At first I thought it...

Beaver Fever.

I have been felled by The Cold. Fortunately it’s not horrible, just annoying. I’m crediting the use of the essential oils for that. I’m extra tired and kind of congested, but it’s not like some colds I’ve had in the past where I’m drowning in mucus. May it pass soon without secondary infection! Warning! Below I will talk about my severely handicapped intestines with mention of poopy things. If you don’t want to know about my poop, don’t keep reading. And don’t say I...

Poop.

Something has caused my IBS to flare up again. I have been in “remission” for months and I was hoping it would never come back. I have no idea what set it off. My lower intestines burn like the fires of hell, I have horrible gas, and then tons of loose poop over and over for hours. It’s miserable. I know it’s IBS and not a virus because it’s the same old thing I’ve gotten repeatedly in the past from IBS....
