DonutFace Vlog!

I’ve been thinking a lot about Vladik and Igor lately. We haven’t talked to Igor since he got back to Ukraine. He can use his roommate’s phone to Skype with us, but he hasn’t. I know better than to take it personally. Life is just unfair. I love that kid. Despite everything, I love him and I will never stop. I’ll never forget the way the top of his head smells, just like one of my own children. I still haven’t...

Winter at the Zoo

I took the kids to the zoo the other day. It was sunny outside and very windy, but it was about 55 degrees even with the ice cold wind. We wore flip flops. Except for Rosie, who is ever more practical. We have a membership to the zoo because it’s only about 40 minutes from our house, and it’s such a huge zoo you can go twenty times and still not get bored. We’d never been in the winter before though....

Keeping Busy.

I have some news about Igor. I’m not really sure what to say yet. I’m working on gathering my thoughts. In the mean time I’m keeping busy, see? The Toddler Life: Henry’s antics=Never a dull moment, ya’ll.

The Rec Center

I’ve been wanting to sign the kids up for extracurricular activities since we moved here. It’s hard moving to a new place and knowing not a single person, which activities are good, where to go, or anything like that. I found a homeschool co-op that looked great, but it had a waiting list that was for next fall. (Fall 2016) Ok so that’s kind of a no go, and sad because it looked so fun! I found another homeschool co-op that...

Coonhound Mix in the snow 0

Snowy Pictures!

It finally really snowed here!! The kids were so excited to find that there was more than just the previous day’s dusting of snow on the ground. Igor said it was too cold outside to play, and Rosie only stayed out for a few minutes, but Henry and Ada had tons of fun. It was so bright out that Ada couldn’t see to smile. Hah! Yes, my two year old is almost the same size as my five year old. She’s...

October in Pictures.

Here are some pictures from the last few weeks of October that I never got around to posting…at least not that I can remember. Rosie wrote this letter in Russian to Max. Every time we host each kid gets a welcome letter from their new family to read (or be read to them) on the plane. Rosie is super excited about Max, so she wrote him the welcome letter all by herself. Ada bathed the baby guinea pigs one afternoon. These...

Our Halloween Pictures!

It’s so strange to me that our area in Ohio does trick or treating on the last Thursday in October instead of actually on the 31st. It feels bad and wrong! So tonight for Halloween we did nothing. It’s silent outside. Not a thing going on. Here are a few pictures of the kids’ costumes on Thursday night! This was how the evening ended. Brrr! And I posted this in the previous entry, but it should really go with this one...

How to Survive the Grocery Store with Three Kids! (Vlog)

Our latest vlog post! The kids begged me to vlog a trip to the grocery store. I’m still not completely sure why they think this is so fun, but whatever. I need to get a nicer video camera than just my phone, and professionally edit my videos, and and and…wait. I can’t afford that. ;)

Toddler Hates Pancakes.

The kids are having so much fun with this. They love watching their videos! They keep begging me to make a “vlog” about every little thing we do. I figure it is a fun way of recording memories, and it’s great for our families back in Kentucky and Georgia since we’re so far away and they don’t see us often now.

Dear Everyone:

Today’s post comes to you in the form of three vlogs. Henry’s attempts to be just like his daddy: Henry’s Very Second Haircut And…my kids being themselves. (There’s one part in this where I say “gas station” but for some reason it sounds like ass station, and now my husband keeps making fun of me.)
