When Morbidly Obese Angry Cats Attack…with Urine. (And Vacation Photos!)

It’s 3 a.m. and I am awake googling the words, “How to remove cat urine odor from a bounce house.” Based on the results, or lack there of, I am fairly certain I may be one of the sole unlucky humans to ever google this phrase. In case you’re wondering, you can power wash a bouncy house. I know, because I did it using soap designed to clean mildew off of siding. In case you are also wondering, while pressure washing...

Tons of Pictures from February…

The kids with their cousin Lucy! The girls went to their cousin Lauren’s birthday party in Prestonsburg the next day with the in-laws. I think the girls had a blast at the party. These are pictures my FIL took there. While they were gone we visited with Tyler’s granny. It felt good to be back in Kentucky where everything is familiar. People smile at you, hold doors open, make friendly small talk, and their accents are soft on your ears. Columbus...

Magic Kingdom Disney Surprise 0

More Disney!

We went to Epcot for one of our days at the Disney parks. Traditionally Epcot has been my favorite of all the parks, but this was the first time I’ve ever tried to go with little kids. Let’s just say it was not nearly as fun to visit all the countries with little ones in tow… And at one point Henry accidentally peed on his shirt in the bathroom, which meant I had to take his shirt off. As luck would...

Wizarding World of Harry Potter!!

I’m still trying to catch up on our vacation pictures and videos! We had such a great time. Did I mention that? On Tuesday of our vacation week we went to Universal Orlando to check out the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. SO EXCITING! I never thought I would be able to go there. Ever. A friend had connections who got us free Universal tickets. How awesome is that? My parents watched Ada and Henry back at the rental house so...

We’re Home! (Disney Videos!)

We made it back from Orlando yesterday afternoon. Henry was wild on the flight home. I think he was just exhausted from the entire week. He was also upset to leave my parents. :( We had a great week! The kids loved Disney World. The first day (Sunday) we went to Magic Kingdom. It was so crowded. Oh my gosh. We could barely even walk!! I thought this was supposed to be the off season! I expected it to be more...

Beach, Part Two.

Check this out! This is a fossilized sea urchin. It’s so old that it lived at the same time as the dinosaurs! I know this because I posted it on a fossil hunter forum. They told me its scientific name and that it lived in the late mesozoic era. (I think that’s what they said, too lazy to look back at the moment.) Rosie found it in the ocean because she tripped and fell in a wave, then it hit her...

Beach!

Last week was spent at the beach. It was good. We went to Holden Beach, NC. It’s about an hour from the popular and commercial Myrtle Beach area. Holden Beach is actually an island. It’s quiet and sleepy. When we arrived on Labor Day weekend there were a few small crowds, but as the week started everyone left and there was hardly another person around. Rosie and Ada met several friends on the beach. One little girl Rebecca, really hit it...

Holden Beach Day 4: The Wedding. 0

Holden Beach Day 4: The Wedding.

I want to finish posting pictures from our trip to the beach.  I’ve got lots of other things going on to write about.  I still have day five to share after this.  That’s the final day. These are pictures of the wedding.     I loved her dress! Back detail: Someone made her this cool hanger. Peeking through the blinds behind the dress– Getting ready: Beth’s family owns a mill and these were the wedding favors. Weston opening his groom’s gift from...

Holden Beach: The Bridal Shower and The Rehearsal.

We had another bridal shower while at the beach.  It was supposed to be one where you give the couple items to use on their honey moon, which was going to be at the beach. The bridal shower was in the house where we were staying.  A very big house!  It had six bedrooms and six full bathrooms on two floors. (I already posted some of these, but I don’t know which.  I finally finished editing all of them.) Ada showing...
